If you check 'remember these settings' in the Blog accounts form those details are stored using strong encryption in your Browsers preferences, not by us. We take your privacy seriously!
The Internet is not an inherently safe place. We currently do not use SSL encryption on our Web site, however if you would like us to then let us know. Currently the only Blog service to provide SSL encryption on their API is Blogger. We do encrypt Posts from our Web server to Blogger.

A: WriteToMyBlog has been tested with the following Blog services: Blogger.com, TypePad, WordPress.com, WordPress and Movable Type. WriteToMyBlog also support the MetaWeblog and Atom API protocols.
A: WriteToMyBlog works with Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. We recommend Firefox, not only does it work best with WriteToMyBlog we believe it's a much better Browser. WriteToMyBlog works using Firefox on Windows, Apple and Linux operating systems.
A: There are loads of cool Blog services to choose from. Blogger.com and WordPress.com are both free and they host your Blog for you. TypePad is also hosted for you; you will have to purchase a license. Movable Typle and WordPress are more feature filled solutions however you have to host them yourself. WordPress is open source (free) and we use it for our own Blog.
A: Flickr is an excellent way to host your images and is free. Once you've uploaded your images there they can be used within your Blog. Simple paste your Flickr images address (URL) into the image form within WriteToMyBlog. You can find your Flickr images address by clicking on 'All Sizes', select the image size that you wish to use and cut/paste its address.
A: Tags are an excellent way to describe an object on the Web. You maybe familiar with using tags for your photos as a way to organize them. Similarly web pages (your Blog Posts) can use tags to describe them. When you enter tags into the tag field we generate links for these tags to Technorati which is Blog search engine. Using tags makes your Blog more visible on the Web.
A: Yes. You can save a single Post to multiple Blog services at one single time.
A: WriteToMyBlog uses UTF-8 encoding. Most Blog services by default use this encoding; if yours doesn't you sometimes can change it within your Blog services control panel.
A: WriteToMyBlog generates XHTML Transitional 1.0 code for its Post Entries.
